OBITUARY

Mr. Anna Evenson Hove [sic]

Anna E. Hove was born at Tofte, Hallingdal, Norway, July 30, 1845, and died at her home in Story City March 1, 1917, aged 72 years.

As a ten year old child she accompanied her father, Even Evenson, from Hallingdal to Sogn, over mountains upon which snow never melts--a journey shich she never forgot. In 1870, at the age of 25, she made another journey, not over the mountains but over the billowy waves of the Atlantic to America.

Here she ment and was married to Mons Hove in 1872. They settled on a farm several miles south of Stanhope, where they lived until the husband's death five years ago. Mrs. Hove moved to Story City two years ago. She was a member of the Bethel congregation, having had a lively faith in her Savior from the time of her youth.

Funeral services were conducted in the Bethel curch on March 5, Rev. Paulsrud officiating. Her remains were carried to their last resting place by her four sons and two sons-in-law.

Her surviving children are: Peter, Martin, Edward and Henry of Stanhope, Mrs. S. J. Seversonof Minneapolis, and Mrs. Brown of Ft. Dodge. Two sisters also survive, namely, Mrs. Julia Loitwood of North Dakota and Mrs. Erick Norheim of Chicago.
