William F. Hahne, 83, died this morning at 2:40 o'clock at the home of his son, Fred, 517 Webster street. Death was the result of diabetes and complications. Mr. Hahne had been in poor health for several years, but seriously ill since July 1.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Foster funeral home with the Rev. Manson E. Miller officiating; burial in Graceland cemetery.

Mr. Hahne leaves two sons, Fred, of this city, and Clyde, of Lamar, Mo. There are also seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. His wife [Sarah DeFrance] died about 21 years ago.

Mr. Hahne was born in Hanover, Germany, and came to the United States in 1870. He settled that year in Hamilton county where he had since resided.

For many years he owned a large shoe store in this city. Of late years he had operated a shoe repair shop on Seneca street. He took a great deal of interest in his business and the affairs of the community and until July 1 was seen regularly each day at his shop.

He had made his home with his son, Fred, for the past few years.
