Lorna Richardson, 75, Webster City, died Thursday, July 23, 1998 at the Southfield Care Center. Her body was cremated and memorial services are pending and will be announced later from the Foster Funeral Home.

Lorna Beverly Hanson, daughter of Peter and Hattie (Nervig) Hanson, was born Jan. 26, 1923 at McCallsburg. She graduated from Blairsburg High School in 1941. She also attended a teachers college. On Nov. 14, 1943 she married Gale Calvin Richardson at Nashua. The couple farmed east of Webster City. During the 1960's, Mrs. Richardson was a cook for the Webster City school system, later working in the bakery at Dunn's Super Market for 10 years. She retired in the early 1980's due to failing health. She had resided at Southfield for the past year.

She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly and Jerry Grove and Barbara Halsne, all of Blairsburg, and Patricia and Frank McAvoy, Woolstock; son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Diane Richardson, Webster City; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, brothers, Lloyd (Bud) Hanson, Connecticut, and Harlan Hanson, Webster City; sisters Orpha Walker, Woolstock, Helen Bahr, Sumner, Dorothy Olsen, Webster City and Marjorie Hames, Williams, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two grandsons and two sons-in-law.

Mrs. Richardson was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, was a past president of the Gold Leaf Rebekah Lodge, 107, of Blairsburg. She had also been an active leader in the Girl Scouts.
