Dale LeRoy Christianson, age 61, of Jewell, passed away early Sunday, February 26, 2023 at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, with both his mother and sister holding his hands.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Bethesda Lutheran Church, 439 Main Street, Jewell. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the church on Thursday. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Jewell.

Dale was born on September 27, 1961 in Webster City, the third and youngest child of Herbert LeRoy and Marjorie (Roe) Christianson. He attended school in Jewell and graduated from South Hamilton High School in 1980.

Dale worked for over 22 years at WG Provisions. He loved fishing every summer, going to comedy clubs, traveling and playing games with his family. Dale was exceptionally good at trivia and as his nephew and nieces got older, he would challenge them. He also enjoyed feeding the birds, working in his garage, yard and gardening. Dale collected model cars and to show his passion, his email address was DCtoyman.

Dale is survived by his mother, Marjorie Christianson of Jewell; two sisters, Renae (Tom) Bringolf of Rapid City, SD, and Kathy Colony of North Liberty; a nephew and two nieces, Christopher Vos, Amber Duwe and Marge Bittner.

He was preceded in death by his father; and brother-in-law, Donald Colony.
