Marlene Leeper, 75, of Webster City passed away Friday, April 7, 2023 at Paula J. Baber Hospice Home after a three year battle with pancreatic cancer. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 13, 2023 at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center with visitation starting at 11:30 a.m. prior to the funeral. Burial will follow the service at the French Cemetery.

Marlene Lois Malaise, daughter of Emile “Bill” and Ruth (Coulson) Malaise, was born April 12, 1947 in Woolstock. She graduated from Eagle Grove high school in 1967. On December 17, 1967, Marlene was united in marriage to Roy E. Leeper at the Woolstock Methodist Church. She worked for 40 1/2 years at Electrolux before retiring. Marlene was very active outdoors, enjoyed time on her iPad and chatting with her sisters. She also cherished and loved time spent with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Roy; sons, Mark (Amanda Degner) Leeper of Fort Dodge, Chad (Sarah Miller) Leeper of Ames; grandchildren, Maisie, Braydie, Hunter, Bradley, Austin, Reid, Tatumn; great-grandchildren, Willow, Anker, Olive, Reming Jorden, Sawyer, Anders, Berkley, Blakely, Oliver, Finley, Ava; twin sister, Darlene Friesleben of Goldfield; sisters, Annalea Hassebrock of Jewell, Frances Shroyer of Little Rock, Ark., RoseMary (Glen) Arnold of Humelston, Pauline (Leroy) Collins of Fort Dodge, Ellen Joyce Harvey of Badger; brothers, Clifford Malaise of Woolstock, Kenneth (Pat) Malaise of Webster City and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

In addition to her parents, Marlene was preceded in death by her grandson, Jorden Leeper; brothers, Thomas Malaise, Richard Malaise; sister, Shirley Marker and brothers-in-law, Roger Harvey, Harvey Friesleben and Kendell Hassebrock.
