Wayne Lowell Caudle, 63, of Williams died Friday, Nov. 20 at Ellsworth Municipal Hospital in Iowa Falls.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today (Monday, Nov. 23) at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Williams, with Surls Funeral Chapel of Williams in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Williams Cemetery. Military rites were conducted by the Williams American Legion Post No. 633.

Wayne Lowell Caudle was born Aug. 8, 1924 in Ellsworth to J. Wilie and Louise Peterson Caudle. He graduated from Ellsworth High School and later served with the U.S. Army in World War II.

On Aug. 15, 1948 he married Marilyn Coomes in Wiota, Iowa. He retired from farming one year ago and remained active in the Caudle Real Estate business in Williams.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Douglas of Story, Wyo.; two daughters, Avis Pruin of Mason City and Rita Knoll of Fort Collins, Colo., five grandchildren; four sisters, Marjorie Roelfs of San Diego, Calif., Bonnie Kitterman of Webster City, Alyce Paulson of Stockton, Calif., and Rena Weidman of Breckenridge, Minn.; and three brothers, Harold of Claremont, Calif., C.L. (Vince) of Des Moines and Jim of Story City.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons.
