M.M. MOBERLY DIES AT HOME
Widely Known Farmer Had Been Ill for Eight Months

Maurice M. Moberly, 46, widely known farmer in this community, died early Wednesday morning at his home, four and one-half miles north of Webster City, following an eight month's illness. He had been seriously ill the past week.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Foster funeral home, the Rev. Dow Crewdson officiating. Burial in Cass Center cemetery.

Son of John L. and Hettie Moberly, Maurice Merl Moberly was born Oct. 16, 1898 on a farm in McClean county, near Bloomington, Ill. He received his education there and grew to young manhood in that community.

In 1914 he came with his parents to Iowa, locating on a farm north of this city. He was married June 9, 1928 to Eunice Karr of this city and they made their home on a farm near Williams for two years, going then to a place west of Jewell where they lived for three years.

They also lived on a place south of Highview for six years and near Williams for a year before moving to the present home.

He was preceded in death by his mother, who died in 1919, and one infant daughter. Surviving are his wife and two sons, Dean, 12 and Mervyn, 8 and his father, John L. Moberly of this city. A brother, Ernest, lives at Worchester, Mass., and a sister, Mrs. Laura McCollough, in Chicago. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Baptized in the Christian faith Mr. Moberly was a member of the Church of Christ here. An active and likable man, he had many friends in the various communities where he had lived, and they, with his family, will miss him greatly.
