Eunice Moberly, 100, of Pacific, MO., a former Webster City resident, died Monday, Dec. 15, 2003 at the Pacific Care Center. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday at the Church of Christ, with ministers Malcam Moberly and Ray Artrip officiating. Burial will be in the Cass Township Cemetery, northeast of Webster City. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Eunice Karr was born September 16, 1903 in Hamilton County, the daughter of Charles and Elizabeth Houston Karr. She passed from this life December 15, 2003 at the Pacific Care Center at Pacific, Mo., where she had recently become a resident.

She graduated from Webster City High School and attended the University of Northern Iowa and Drake University. On June 9, 1928 she married Maurice Moberly at Webster City. They farmed north of Webster City until his death in 1944. She taught school in rural Hamilton County for 11 years before starting a career with the Department of Social Welfare, serving as a case worker and then director in Hamilton County until her retirement in 1968. She then moved to Grinnell, where she was a case worker retiring at age 70 to return to Webster City.

Eunice was immersed into Christ in 1919 and was a longtime member of the Webster City Church of Christ. She became a member of the Pacific Christian Church when she moved there in 2001 to live with her son and daughter-in-law. She was a member of the Sharon Chapter of the Eastern Star #148, Purity Rebekah Lodge #72; Daughters of the American Revolution and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Mrs. Moberly is survived by son and daughters-in-law, Mervyn and Margaret Moberly of Pacific; Elaine Moberly of Chandler, Az.; grandchildren, Michael Moberly and wife, Jeanine of Chandler; Mary Morris and husband John of Beloit, Oh., Mark Moberly of Webster City; Miriam Johnson and husband Mike of Mountain View, Mo., Philip Moberly and wife Laura of Anchorage, Ak.; Malcam Moberly and wife Debra of Bullhead City, Az.; 16 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Nadine Moberly, who died in infancy and son, Dean Moberly.
