Hester Seaboch Wurch, 94, Webster City, died Monday, December 8, 2003 at the Mary Greeley Medical Center at Ames. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, with Rev. Travis Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and after 11 a.m. at the church Thursday.

Hester Leone Adams, daughter of Carl and Eva Riley Adams, was born April 6, 1909 at Webster City. She received her education in Webster City Schools, graduating in 1926. She attended Normal School and taught for three years in rural schools southwest of Webster City. On February 20, 1929 she married Glenn Armstrong Seaboch. The couple farmed southwest of Webster City. They moved to Webster City in 1965. She had been employed at Dr. Sam Kuramoto's office for 8 years and the Hamilton County Public Hospital for 10 years. Mr. Seaboch died June 15, 1971. On Sept. 12, 1982 she married A.C. (Ed) Wurch. The couple resided at Webster City. Mr. Wurch died May 15, 1998. She had resided at Crestview Apartments for 7 years and at Crestview Senior Living for the past year and a half.

Mrs. Wurch is survived by daughters and son-in-law, Fayma Jones of Las Vegas, Nv.; Sheryll and Richard Schroder of Sun City, Ca.; Rosalie Floden of Ames; step-children, Diane and Russell Jensen of Humboldt, Judith and Duane Seil of Farnhamville, 10 grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren; sisters, Jean Stoppelmoor of Independence, Mo.; Gwen Neese of Webster City, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by sons-in-law, Richard Jones in 2002, Dean Floden in 2002, sisters, Mildred Adams, Lorene Hove, brother, Eldon Adams.

She was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, St. Paul's Ladies Aid, St. Paul's Choir and Sunday School teacher for 15 years.
