Joe Keller, 92, of Blairsburg, died Sunday, November 9, 2003 at the Israel Family Hospice House at Ames. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 15, 2003 at the Missionary Alliance Church, with Rev. Bill Keller. Burial will be in the Blairsburg Cemetery, north of Blairsburg. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and at the church after 11 a.m. Saturday.

Joseph David Keller, son of Robert and Clara Wehrle Keller, was born July 20, 1911 on a farm west of Alden. The family moved to a farm north of Blairsburg in Wright County. He attended a rural school in that area and started farming at an early age. On February 14, 1937 he married Catherine Hester Denton at Blairsburg. The couple farmed north of Blairsburg. Mrs. Keller died October 24, 1990. He had farmed for 80 years. He had been in failing health for the past year.

Mr. Keller is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Kay and John Sims of Naperville, Il., Karen and Rodney Huisman of Naples, Fl., Jolene Keller of Dallas, Tx.; Gene and Margo Keller of Blairsburg; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Ada Poland of Iowa Falls; brother, Wayne Keller of Blairsburg, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter in infancy, Joyce Keller; sisters, Lilly Gade; Daisy Lindberg, Clara Clark, Goldie Keller; brothers, Oscar, Lee and Ernest Keller.

He was a member of the Missionary Alliance Church of Blairsburg and a former church board member.
