Rich was born August 12, 1938, to Truman and Phyllis (Youlden) Roberts and lived his entire life in Webster City. Rich was a local Carpenter Contractor, building homes and doing remodeling work in the area.

On June 8, 1958, Rich was united in marriage to Sandra Kay Knickerbocker. To this union, 3 children were born; Debra, Mark and Danny.

Rich is survived by his wife, Sandra of 64 years, sons Mark (Peggy) of Webster City and Danny of Chickamauga, GA, son-in-law John Tolle of Webster City, 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren (3 more on the way), brothers Robert (Barb) Roberts of Longmount, CO, and Rande (Deb) Roberts of Webster City, brother-in-law, Robert (Ellen) Knickerbocker of Reeds Spring, MO, and several nieces and nephews.

Rich was one happy guy who never met a stranger. He was a talker and loved spending time with his kids, grandkids, great-grandkids, and “his boys” (you know who you are!). Rich and Sandy enjoyed spending time at their Table Rock Lake Home.

“The King,” alias “Papa Rich,” will sure be missed.
