Kathleen was born to Tom B. and Martha (Hill) Olson. She grew up in the Northwood area, graduating from Northwood High School. She graduated from Iowa State Teacher's College in Cedar Falls. Kathleen taught school in Northwood, Marshalltown, and Webster City and substitute taught at South Hamilton. On June 22, 1957 Kathleen married Donald Streuber in Story City. They farmed their Century Farm southwest of Jewell, moving to town in November 1989. She was an active member of Bethesda Lutheran Church in Jewell, teaching Sunday School as a member of the Bethesda Women.
Kathleen is survived by her husband, Donald at Bethany Manor in Story City; a daughter, Martha (Scott) Raecker of Urbandale; two sons, Jeff (Linda) Streuber of Jewell and David (Nicole) Steuber of Ledyard, IA; three grandchildren, Emily and Max Raecker and Ben Streuber; a brother, David Olson of Story City; and a sister, Jeanne Peterson of Forest City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Mark; two sisters, Ruth Faulstich and Dorothy Krambeer; and a brother, Dale Olson.
