Henry John Redling Jr., age 88, of Kamrar, died Sunday, July 18, 2004 at Hamilton Hospital in Webster City. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Thursday at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Jewell with Rev. W. Michael Werner to officiate. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Jewell. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Becker Funeral Home in Jewell.

Henry was born June 4, 1916 in Jewell to Henry John and Christena (Heck) Redling. On January 29, 1938 Henry married Myrtle Grace Sprow at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Jewell. They farmed northwest of Jewell. Henry moved to Kamrar five years ago. He was a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church in Jewell and Pheasants Forever.

Henry is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Sterling and Catherine Redling of Webster City, his special friend, Judy Roseland of Webster City, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, in 1987; two brothers, Charles and Peter; and a sister, Christena.
