Paul E. Mann, 86, of Webster City, died Monday, March 29, 2004 at the Southfield Wellness Community. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, with Rev. John Flaherty, celebrant. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral Home from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the church. A scripture service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Paul Elmer Mann, son of J. Elmer and Ida Bolejack Mann, was born at Waterville, Kansas. He graduated from Waterville High School in 1935, following many outstanding athletic accomplishments. During W.W. II, he served in the U.S. Army - 76th Infantry Division. He served in the European Theatre of Action. On October 26, 1944 he married Lorraine Elizabeth Walsh at LaCrosse, Wi. The couple wheat farmed at Waterville, Ks. He then operated a produce business at Waterville and wheat harvesting business. In 1968, they moved to LaCrosse and he worked at Vaaler Home Improvement and continued wheat harvesting. In 1970, they moved to Webster City. He retired from the wheat harvesting business in 1972 and continued to reside in Webster City.

Mr. Mann is survived by his wife, Lorraine, son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Pam Mann of Orlando, Fl; daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Bill Topper of Houston, Tx.; twelve grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Betty Mann of Waterville and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Roy, Bob, Leland and James Mann.

Mr. Mann was a member of Moose Lodge #735.
