Helen Arbaugh, 95, Webster City, died Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000 at the Southfield Care Center. She was cremated. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Foster Funeral Home, with Rev. John Wilson officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland cemetery. There will be no visitation.

Helen Spencer Monroe, daughter of William J. and Elizabeth Eckstein Monroe, was born February 18, 1905 on a farm south of Webster City. She attended Webster City schools and graduated from Lincoln High. In 1925, she married Raymond Oliver Arbaugh. She worked at Forrester's Dairy for 21 years and Dunn's Bakery for several years. She retired in 1968. She had resided at Southfield Care Center since 1998.

She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Elaine and Lubertus Monson, Kamrar; Marilyn Arbaugh, Bellevue, WA.; 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Arbaugh; son-in-law, Milton (Mike) Mamminga, her parents, brothers, Arnold and Jay Harley Monroe; and sister, Mary Albright.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Kamrar.
