Mervin D. Kramer, 80, of Waukee, IA, passed away Sunday October 2, 2022, at the Community Care Center in Stuart, IA. Mervin was born May 14th, 1942, on a farm in Williams, IA. He was the 4th child born to Harold and Alice Kramer. Mervin attended schools in Clarion, IA, Williams, IA, and graduated from Blairsburg, IA in 1961. He was employed as an auto mechanic, manager for Putco running boards, Scorpion snowmobile salesman & finally as a gas transport truck driver for Casey’s, Quik Trip and Poet. He married Patricia Brittain in Kamrar, IA September 21, 1963. This union brought 3 children: Cindy, Christi and Steven. Mervin enjoyed summers at their lakehouse in Clear Lake, IA and winters in Weslaco, TX. Mervin enjoyed golfing, fishing, and cheering for the Iowa State Cyclones and Minnesota Vikings.

Mervin is survived by his wife, Patricia, of 59 years. Children Cindy Pelz of Van Meter IA, Christi Carlson (Marty) of Gowrie, IA and Steven Kramer (Kathy) of Clive, IA. Grandchildren Megan Alexander (Pat) of Van Meter, IA, Quin Pelz of Van Meter, IA, Greg Pelz (Karly) of Waukee, IA, Brandi Carlson of Gowrie, IA, Shanda Peed (Layth) of Gowrie, IA, Nick Carlson(Cally) of Grimes, IA, Morgan Simpson (Logan) of Waukee, IA, Brittany Kleinschmit (Jon) of West Des Moines, IA and 9 great Grandchildren.

Mervin was preceded in death by Harold and Alice (parents), Joanne (sister), Dennis (brother), Scott Pelz (son in law) and several nieces and nephews.
