Diane (Ott) Baker was born on March 27, 1955, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of Glen J. and Nettie (Barr) Ott. She was raised and educated in the area of her birth – attending West High School.

In 1978, Diane married and moved to Iowa, where she made a home, living in Stanhope and Webster City – and raised her three sons. She enjoyed working for McDonald’s and Casey’s General Store. After retiring, she moved to Eagle Grove to be closer to family. A few years ago, Diane was able to reconnect with her son that was previously given up for adoption, filling a void in her heart.

Diane was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Diane enjoyed reading (Stephen King & Dean R. Koontz), movies, music (Elton John, Richard Marx & Gunshy) and she loved spending time with her grandchildren, having a unique bond with each kid. Diane had quite the sweet tooth as she loved anything orange cremesicle, salted caramel and especially cinnamon. Her main bucket list item was checked off when she got to see Elton John in concert on her birthday this year.

Diane passed away on Monday, August 15, 2022, at the age of 67 years. She was preceded in death by her father, Glen; sisters, Glenda Livingstone and Jean Bosen and granddaughter, Alexa Rebecca Lawson.

Survivors include her sons, Micheal Lawson (Stacy) of St. Cloud, MN, P.J. Lawson (Hanna) of Eagle Grove, Kristoffer Baker (Brittany) of Scarville and Brett Williams (Stephanie) of St. Cloud, MN; grandchildren: Samantha, Max, Noah, Tommy, Avery, Evangeline, Sebastian, Michael, A.J., Jonathan, and Skyler; mother, Nettie Ott of West Valley, UT; brothers, Kenneth Ott (Janai) of Layton, UT and Edward Ott (Kelly) of West Valley, UT and sister, Pat Ames of Nampa, ID and brother-in-law, Brad Bosen of Tooele, UT as well as numerous nieces, nephews and second children that all knew her as Mama B.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family and mailed to Micheal Lawson 1515 31st Ave N St. Cloud, MN 56303.
