Shawn Davis Knickerbocker age 53 of Story City, died May 14, 2022. Funeral services will be Thursday May 19 at 10:30 am at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in rural Boone. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 7 at the Soderstrum Funeral Home in Story City.

Shawn Davis Knickerbocker was given life by his Creator and was born in Ames, Iowa on June 21, 1968, the child of Gary and Glenda (Davis) Knickerbocker. Shortly after his birth, he received the gift of Holy Baptism and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Williams and became a child of God.

Shawn was a lifetime resident of the Williams/Story City area and became very active at St. Paul’s Church. Shawn had worked at Putco, Van Diest and was currently a realtor with ReMax, a job he had a passion for.

On May 14, 2022 God blessed His servant, Shawn, with a holy death and took him to rest in the arms of Jesus until the resurrection of the dead. He is survived by his sister, Jacque (David) Read of Stanhope; brother, Kirk Knickerbocker of Williams, IA; five nieces and nephews, Gary Knickerbocker, Ashley Ann Knickerbocker, Lee Knickerbocker, Brett Read and Laura (Travis) Schwickerath; and four great nieces and nephews, A’dilynn, Corbin, Kyler and Cade.

Shawn was preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
