Patricia Kesler, 72, of Webster City, former longtime resident of LeMars, died Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at her home. A Celebration of Life is pending later this spring with Foster Funeral and Cremation Center.

Patricia A. Kesler, daughter of Frederick and Mary (Strasser) Kesler, was born December 8, 1949 in Webster City. She was educated at Webster City High School graduating in 1968. Pat went to Iowa State University receiving her bachelor of science in Early Education and went on to receive her Masters in Administration from the University of South Dakota. She spent her entire career in LeMars, her students and the LeMars community meant the world to her.

Pat was a member of the First Congregational – U.C.C and TTT. She enjoyed quilting, birdwatching, attending events at the Civic Center and was an avid ISU fan and was a ISU football and Civic Center season ticket holder with the Mandernachs for many years. She also enjoyed traveling with family and friends over the years to many of our National Parks, Europe and one of her most recent, a driving trip through Virginia with Ted learning some of the history of the Kesler family. Pat loved being at the farm and in the timber burning sticks at the Point.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Layne (Beatriz) Kesler of Oakland, CA, Dawn (Jenny) Kesler of Webster City, Kate (Eric) Anderson of Webster City, Chris (Jill) Kesler of Cypress, TX, Carrie (Jerry) Swearingen of Cypress, TX; great nieces and great nephews, Kathryn Kesler, Jackson Kesler, Ethan Anderson, Owen Anderson, Abigail Swearingen, Colin Kesler, Alexandra Kesler and Emmet Anderson, sisters-in-law, Elizabeth (David) Weieneth of Webster City, Josie Kesler of Cypress, TX and Cheryl Noller Kesler McCleary of Dillion, CO, her lifelong Iowa State friends and special friend, Millie Mandernach.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Joe Kesler (1977), Tom Kesler (1988) and Ted Kesler (2020), and longtime friend John Mandernach (2020).

Memorials will be used to plant a variety of fruits and hardwood trees around the Kesler farm.
