Kenneth Elrod, 26, Stratford, died of adult leukemia Tuesday, July 15, 2003 at University of Iowa Hospital. Funeral services will be held at the Granger United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. Saturday. Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Kenneth was a pilot who enjoyed flying, fishing, squirrel hunting and writing. He received the Billy Mitchell Award from the Civil Air Patrol in which he served, and participated in the Writer's Guild.

He is survived by his wife Stephanie Elrod, Spokane, WA, parents Diana Elrod, Des Moines and Bruce and LaDonna Elrod, Prairie City; brother Doug Elrod, Grimes; and his grandparents.
