Mary Harris, 90, a former Stratford-Webster City resident, of Sun City, Ariz., died Monday, Oct. 14, 2002 at Sun City. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Foster Funeral Home, with Kris Harris officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to the service.

Mary Elizabeth Harrah, daughter of Richard and Ida Osborn Harrah, was born Jan. 6, 1912 on a farm at Brushy. She was educated in the rural schools near Ridgeport. On Dec. 8, 1933, she married William (Baker) Harris at Fort Dodge. The couple farmed north of Stratford for several years. Mr. Harris died Nov. 12, 1974. She moved to Webster City in the late 70s and to Sun City in May of this year.

Mrs. Harris is survived by a son and daughters-in-law, Gareld (Mook) and Butch Harris, Sun City; Carol Harris, Stratford; grandchildren, Kendra, Kirk, Kris, Ryan, Jason and Daron Harris, several great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Rodney (Rick) Harris, sisters, Viola Harrah, Myrtle Tilghman and Susan Hall.

She was a former member of the Calvary United Methodist Church at Stratford and RSVP of Webster City.
