Dorothy McCollough, 82, Webster City, died Saturday, August 24, 2002 at her home. Following cremation, private family services were held.

Dorothy Elizabeth Passwaters, daughter of James and Bertha Pringle Passwaters, was born August 25, 1919 on a farm west of Kamrar. She received her education in the Blairsburg and Webster City schools. She had been employed at Knight's Bakery, McMurray Hatchery and Fleets Hardware, all in Webster City. On Feb. 18, 1956, she married Albert (Mac) McCollough at Webster City. They resided in Webster City. Mr. McCollough died June 28, 1993.

Mrs. McCollough is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Coady Halligan of Stockton, Calif., Micki and Art Tolle of Littleton, Colo., Mindee and Mike Pruismann of Webster City; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, sister, Frannie Osboe of Webster City; and daughter-in-law, Sandy Van Winkle of Des Moines, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, son, Gary Van Winkle in 2000, 2 grandsons, a great-grandson, sisters, Eunice Yates and Ruth Peterson, brothers, Edgar (Bud), Don and Wayne Passwaters.

She was baptized in the Methodist Faith and had been a member of the Women of the Moose and Women's Auxiliary of Company E, 133rd Infantry, Red Bull Division.

Memorials may be given to Hamilton County Hospice.
