Olive M.Ross, age 91, of Washington, IA formerly of Stanhope, died of congestive heart failure Sat, Aug. 10, 2002 at the M. L. McCreedy Home.

Born March 12, 1911 in Stanhope she was the daughter of Elmer and Elvira Sealine Berggren. She married Milton E. Ross on July 29, 1932 in Rock Island, IL. He died in 1976.

Mrs. Ross was a homemaker and lived in Washington County for the past 50 years. She was a graduate of Stanhope High School and attended Iowa State University. She attended United Methodist Church of West Chester, and was a member of the White Way Club and a 4-H Leader. She used her talents to help others learn their creative talents and set the stage in ceramics. She enjoyed traveling and flower gardening. Survivors include one daughter and one, six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
