Vernon Noel Ose, 51, of Blairsburg, died Monday afternoon at his home.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the United Church of Christ, Congregational, in Blairsburg, with the Rev. James Carcia officiating and with burial in the Williams cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Foster Funeral home until 9:00 a.m. Thursday when it will be taken to the church.

Vernon Noel Ose, son of Oscar B. and Beulah Mark Ose was born March 5, 1926 in Story county. He was reared and educated in the Zearing and Williams area, being graduated from Williams high school in 1943.

On June 15, 1947 he was united in marriage to Alice Sprugel, and the couple had always farmed near Blairsburg.

He is survived by his wife; two sons and two daughters, Alan Ose and Jerry Ose, both of Blairsburg; Mrs. James (Diane) Jetter of Ames and Jann Ose of Blairsburg; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Ose of Williams; one sister, Mrs. Leon (Orpha) Brandt of Hubbard, and two brothers, Marion Ose of Blairsburg and Enlow Ose of Sacramento, Calif.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Keith Ose, who died in World War II.

Mr. Ose was a member of the United Church of Christ, Congregational of Blairsburg. He was a member of the Lions club and was formerly a member of the Northeast Hamilton school board.
