CJ was born November 21, 1950 in Bakersfield California to Oliver and Patsey Hood. Oliver passed away when CJ was just 2-years old. Patsey remarried Francis (Lee) Wells and later moved the family to Webster City, Iowa.

CJ grew up in Webster City where she later attended cosmetology school in Ft. Dodge, Iowa.

CJ moved to Colorado in 1989 where she meet her husband Mik (Michael) Doty. CJ continued to do hair until she retired.

CJ loved camping & fishing, while her hobbies included golf, bowling, and pool for which she had a few trophies.

CJ is survived by her husband Mik Doty; sisters Lana-Chere (Gary) Biggs of Webster City, IA; Beverly Wells of Redlands, CA; and Debbie Knudson of Danube, MN. She is also survived by her 2 sons, Scott (Kathy) McCall of Peoria, AZ; Nick (Kelly) Ingertson of Oro Valley, AZ; and her 5 grandchildren, Maddie, Abby and Clay McCall; Kyler and Kayden Ingertson.

CJ passed away while resting peacefully on March 17th at Platte Valley Medical Center in Brighton, CO where her family had been by her side for several days. She was 71 years of age, and is proceeded in death by her parents, Oliver Hood, and Lee and Patsey Wells. CJ’s wishes were to be buried next to her mom and dad in Webster City Ia. There will be a memorial service later this summer.
