Linda Jean Ashby, 55, of Williams, passed away Monday, April 4, 2005 at her home. Funeral services for Linda Ashby will be held at 3:00 P.M. Friday, April 8, 2005 at the Ewing Dugger Helgeson Funeral Home, 100 North Lee Street in Dows with Pastor Bill Keller to officiate. Visitation for Linda Ashby will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 Thursday April 7, 2005 and one hour prior to services at the funeral home in Dows.

Linda, the daughter of Darrell and Faye Holub Thompson, was born March 25, 1950 in LuVerne, Minnesota. She graduated from New Ulm High School in New Ulm, Minnesota. On June 20, 1998 she married her best friend and soul mate Lonnie Ashby. They lived on a farm just outside of Dows. Linda enjoyed shopping and spending time with Lonnie on their farm.

Linda is survived by her husband Lonnie of Williams; her mother Faye Thompson of Rochester, Minnesota. She is also survived by three sons and four step children: Joe (Kelly) Kleist of Linton, Indiana, Ted Kleist of Mankato, Minnesota, Charley (Betsy) Kleist of North Carolina, Lonnie Ashby, Jr. of Fargo, North Dakota, Yalonda (Jeff) Fix of Menahga, Minnesota, Tracy (Chris) Grangruth of Mennahga, Minnesota, Tammy (William) Myers of Menahga, Minnesota; three sisters: Carol Block of Webster City, Mavis (Randy) Higgins of Rochester, Minnesota and Nancy (Bob) Milbrett of New Ulm, Minnesota. She leaves behind 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She also leaves behind her faithful four legged pals Nikkie Ann and Bandit Lee. She will be missed by all.

She is preceded in death by her father and niece.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests you send donations to Hospice or Cancer Research.
