Jane F. Wesselman, 69, of Webster City, died Friday, March 25, 2005 at Hamilton Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with Rev. John Flaherty, officiant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Foster Funeral & Cremation Center and prior to services at the church on Tuesday. Recitation of the Rosary will be Monday at 6:40 p.m. and a scripture service will follow.

Jane Frances Menke, daughter of Alfred and Amorita Schlitz Menke, was born on February 19, 1936 at Bancroft, Iowa. She graduated from Ledyard High School at Ledyard, Iowa, in 1954. On April 21, 1954 she married LeRoy Wesselman at Sacred Heart Church in Ledyard. She was employed at Kueens Trailer Ranch and also had her own house cleaning service. Her main vocation was a homemaker and her favorite activities included cooking, cleaning and caring for her family. She loved sewing, flower gardening and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband LeRoy, daughter, Debbie Landuyt and husband Jim of Huxley; son, Dale Wesselman and wife, Audrey Carr of Minneapolis; daughter, Rita Wolfgram and husband Paul of Webster City; son, Rick Wesselman and wife Dawn of Phoenix, AZ; son, Larry Wesselman and wife Mary of Beaverton, OR; grandchildren, Cara and Eric Landuyt; Travis Dally and Evan Wolfgram; Cole and Lauren Wesselman; Alex and Zach Wessleman; mother Amorita Menke of Bancroft; sisters and brothers-in-law Carol Madson of Britt, Joyce Hatten of Bancroft, Lynn and Roman Lynch of Ames, Shirley and Denny McCarthy of Bancroft; brothers and sisters-in-law Harold and Barbara Menke of Bancroft, Kenny and Mary Menke of Ledyard, Billy and Barb Menke of Bancroft; brother-in-law, Ralph Wesselman of Algona; many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Wesselman was preceded in death by her father, LeRoy's parents, Ben and Caroline Wesselman; brothers-in-law Holger Madson and Tom Hatten; a niece and nephew.

She was an active member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters of the Americas. She also dedicated many hours to numerous community programs.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorials to be directed to the American Cancer Society or St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School.
