Jeremy Bruce Thompson, 25, Ellsworth, died Saturday, Oct. 6 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames as a result of injuries from a car accident near Ames. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ellsworth with Rev. Michael Herschberger officiating. Burial will be in Homewood Cemetery at Ellsworth. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. Monday with the family present from 6-8 p.m. at the Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home in Story City.

Jeremy Bruce Thompson, son of Bruce and Jan Olson Thompson, was born Oct. 14, 1975 in Story City. He lived his entire life in the Ellsworth area and was a carpenter with Thompson Construction.

Jeremy was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Ellsworth, where he was baptized and confirmed. He was a member of the Ellsworth Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed playing with his sons and their activities. He also enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers, playing golf, fishing, boating and camping with his family.

Survivors are his three sons, Cody, Devon and Drake Thompson, all of Jewell; parents, Bruce and Jan Thompson of Ellsworth; two brothers, Justin Thompson, Jason Thompson and wife Staci, all of Ellsworth; grandparents, Joyce Thompson of Ames, Lawrence and Ruth Olson of Ellsworth.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, B. James Thompson.
