Raymond Kehoe, 79, Litchfield, Minn., died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2001 at Rice Memorial Hospital, Willmer, Minn. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, Sept. 19 at 10 a.m. at St. Philips Catholic Church in Litchfield, Minn., with Rev. Mark Mallak officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held Sept. 20, 11 a.m. at Cass Center Cemetery, just north of Webster City, Iowa. Graveside military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post No. 191 from Webster City.

Scripture services will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield, Minn. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. and prior to the casket being taken to the church at 9 a.m.

Raymond William Kehoe, son of Patrick and Mary Niedermeir Kehoe, was born February 3, 1922 at Manannah Township, Minnesota. He grew up in Litchfield and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. On March 26, 1943 he married June Keigan and they resided in Litchfield until 1954, when they moved to Webster City, Iowa where they owned and operated Kehoe Shoe Repair, before retiring in 1986. His wife, June, passed away on Nov. 26, 1992. In 1995, Raymond moved back to Litchfield where he resided until his death.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Alys Kehoe, Webster City, grandson and his wife, Chris and Kayleen Kehoe of Webster City, granddaughter and husband, Jamie and Deacon Garvey, Webster City. He is also survived by his special friend Alice Knochenmus, Litchfield, Minn. In addition to his grandchildren, he is survived by six great-grandchildren, including Adison, Corbin and Kaitlyn Kehoe, Kenzie and Shaylor Garvey and Cade Moss. Raymond is also survived by brothers James Kehoe of Rosemount, Minn., and Phillip Kehoe of Gilbert, Minn., and a sister, Helen Gordon of Virginia, Minn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife June, a brother Leo Kehoe and sisters Mary Konietzko, Margaret Thomas and Rose Theilan.

He was a member of St. Philips Catholic Church in Litchfield, and a former member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Webster City. He was also a member of the American Legion in both Webster City and Litchfield.
