Peter Gerald Smith, 83, Webster City, died Sept. 8, 2001 at Southfield Wellness Community in Webster City. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Williams with Rev. John R. Flahery officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Williams. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the church with a prayer service at 7 p.m.

Peter Gerald Smith, son of Peter and Nellie O'Neill Smith, was born Sept. 11, 1917 at Blairsburg. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Survivors are nieces Bernice Jaynes and Leona Keane, both of Williams, and a nephew, Bob Doyle of Webster City. Peter was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and five brothers.
