DiAnn Ashpole, of Jewell, IA died Wednesday, October 27, 2021. No services will be held at this time. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is caring for the family.

DiAnn Kay Sesker, daughter of Stanley and Violet (Davis) Sesker, was born on August 14, 1951 in Ames, IA. She attended school in Boone, IA. She was a school bus driver for the Perry School District for 20 years, she had also worked as the manager for Sparky's in Stanhope for five years. On July 1, 2006 DiAnn was united in married to Elston Robert Ashpole in Nora Springs, IA. The couple resided in Nora Springs for a year before moving to Ponca City, OK. In 2016, they moved to Jewell, IA to be closer to family.

She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Elston (Bud) of Jewell; daughter, Mindy (Paul) Hetland of Stanhope; grandchildren, Marc (Allie) Pineda of Boone, ManDee Phillips of Kansas City, Christopher Davidson of Eldora, Keaton Hetland of Ellsworth, Kirsten Hetland of Stanhope; great-grandchildren, Micah, Abigail, Jaxton; sisters, Linda Reynolds of Norwalk, P.J. (Randy) Green of Grimes; brother, Dennis (Carol) Sesker of Boone; sister-in-law, Kay Sesker of Scranton; nephew, Randy (Penny Rholl) Reynolds of Jewell.

In addition to her parents, DiAnn was preceded in death by her daughter, Paula Davison; brother, Don Sesker; niece, Jill Harris; nephews, Eric Reynolds and Dan Sesker.

DiAnn enjoyed decorating for the holidays, painting woodcrafts, baking, sewing, planting flowers and spending time with her grandchildren. She also had a love for antiques and collecting.
