Robert Bahrenfuss, 50, longtime rural Webster City resident, died early this morning at the Hamilton County hospital where he had been a patient for four days. He had been in ill health the past nine months.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Foster Funeral home with the Rev. James Pittman officiating and with burial in Graceland cemetery.

Robert Buryl Bahrenfuss, son of Benjamin Buryl and Elva Enna Doolittle Bahrenfuss, was born Oct. 31, 1925 on the home farm in Blairsburg township. He was educated in the rural Blairsburg No. 4 school, being graduated from Webster City high school in 1944.

He was married June 28, 1949 to Margaret Marie Hansen, and the couple farmed in Hamilton county, moving to a farm in Wright county near Galt in 1953. They returned to Hamilton county in 1962 and made their home on a farm seven and one-half miles northeast of Webster City.

He is survived by his wife, three sons and two daughters, Vicki Janette, of Webster City, Craig Robert, at home, Linda Kay, Webster City, Daniel Alan, at home, and Brian David, also at home. Also surviving are his mother, Mrs. Elva Bahrenfuss residing at Crestview Manor; two brothers and three sisters, Mrs. Mae Bruns, Mrs. Adolph (Eleanore) Schroeder, Mrs. Jean Roe, Lee Bahrenfuss and Keith Bahrenfuss, all of Webster City, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and two sisters, Mrs. Mervin (Shirley) Mourlam and Mrs. Raymond (Leila) Roe.

He was a member of the Mulberry Center United Methodist church and was an ASC committeeman and 4-H club leader.
