Cindy Casky was born on October 22, 1952 passed away peacefully on June 4, 2021 at her home in Slater while under hospice care. She wished to be cremated and graveside services will be held at the Slater Cemetery on Tuesday June 8 at 11 am. Following the interment guests are welcome to visit with the family at the home, 106 10th Ave. Slater, Iowa.
Cindy was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa on October 22, 1952, the daughter of Clarence and Mildred (Knutson) Dueker. She graduated from Webster City High School in 1971 and continued her education to become at registered nurse at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines and Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames.
Cindy and Roger were married on August 19, 1973 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Webster City. Throughout their 47 years of marriage, together they had two daughters (Jamie and Andrea) and made their home in Slater.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
She is survived by her loving husband, Roger; daughters, Jamie and son-in-law Paul Gass and Andrea and fiancé Dustin White; and five grandchildren, Kayla, Morgan, Caiden, Mitchell and Ryker.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, in Izzy and Cindy Casky’s name may be directed to the Iowa State University Veterinary Medicine – 1800 Christensen Dr. Ames, Iowa 50010.
