Helen Anderson, 92, of Webster City, died Thursday, June 21, 2001 at Crestview Manor in Webster City. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. John Grebner officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Sunday at the Foster Funeral Home and after 9 a.m. Monday at the church.

Helen Marie Kolling, daughter of Anton and Alice Peterson Kolling, was born June 9, 1909 at Jewell, Iowa. She received her education in Jewell and attended Northern Iowa Teachers College in Cedar Falls where she earned her Teaching Certificate. She taught for four years at a country school south of Jewell near Little Wall Lake. On February 20, 1930 she married Peter Minert Anderson at Webster City. The couple farmed in the Webster City-Blairsburg areas. In 1966 the couple retired from farming and moved to Webster City. Mr. Anderson died on January 27, 1978.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Arnold and Ester Anderson of Lacey, Wa., LuVerne and Carolyn Anderson of Portage, Mi., grandchildren, Christie and Tamara of Portage, Mi., three great-grandchildren, sister, Joyce Romp of Jewell and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Edna Anderson, Esther Berkenstock and one brother, John Kolling.

Mrs. Anderson was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and taught Sunday school for many years. Memorials may be directed to the Trinity Lutheran Church, Webster City.
