Helen Scott, 102, Las Vegas, Nevada, a former Webster City resident died Friday, Dec. 1, 2000 at the home of her daughter. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 16, 2001 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with Rev. John Flaherty, celebrant. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Arrangements were made with the Foster Funeral Home.

Helen Finn was born May 12, 1898 in Lenox, Iowa. On April 7, 1920 she married Robert R. Scott at St. Ambrose Cathedral in Des Moines. They homesteaded in Wyoming until 1928 when they moved to Grand Island, Ne. and started farming. They later moved to Waukee, Blairsburg, Stanhope and retired to Webster City. She was employed as a nurses aid at the Hamilton County Public Hospital for many years. Mr. Scott died June 15, 1977. In 1986 she moved to Las Vegas to live with her daughter.

She is survived by daughters, Loretta Gotschall and Patricia Ward, both of Las Vegas, sons and daughter-in-law, Richard and Mildred Scott of Kimberling, Mo., and John P. Scott of Kansas; 16 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Ione Carlson, brothers, Leo, Henry and Richard Finn.

She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters for many years.

Memorials may be given to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.
