Janet Kling, 84, of Webster City died Monday, December 14, 2020 at Van Diest Medical Center. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 18, 2020 at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Following state guidelines, social distancing will be adhered to and masks required.

Janet Kay Buzick, daughter of Kenneth and Mae Barkema Buzick, was born October 21, 1936 in Webster City. She graduated in 1955 from Lincoln High in Webster City. Janet was united in marriage to Kermit Baker on December 21, 1955 in Webster City. To this union three children were born. The couple later divorced. On June 28, 1980, Janet married Larry Kling in Webster City. For 33 years, she worked at Hamilton Hospital in admitting/switchboard.

She is survived by her children, Sandra (Richard) Ellis, Connie Just, Jeffrey Baker all of Webster City; grandchildren, Brandon Caquelin, Kaylee Caquelin, Kenny (Emma) Crouthamel, Megan Just, Erica (Nick) Just, Emily Baker, Katie (Andrew) Meyers, Tessa Baker; six grandchildren and one arriving in 2021.

Janet is preceded in death by her husband, Larry in 2004; her parents and brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Jean Buzick.

She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. Janet enjoyed playing Bingo and heading out to numerous casinos to play slots. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Janet will be missed by many and remembered for making the best snickerdoodles.
