Funeral services for Lawrence "Dean" Crouch were held Monday, May 21 at the Scheie Lutheran Church in rural Mabel, Minn. Burial with military rites was in the Mabel Public Cemetery. Lawrence was born and raised in Webster City [the son of Herman and Zoa Louella Taylor Crouch]. During World War II, he served in the United States Army. In the early 1950s, he moved to and farmed in southeastern Minnesota and has resided in the Mabel area since 1967. He died Friday, May 18, 2001 at his home.

He is survived by his special friend, Lois Ask of Mabel, two sisters-in-law, Doris Crouch of Mabel and Alice Crouch of Webster City, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 12 brothers and sisters. Mengis Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
