MRS. BEAUMONT DIES IN HAWAII

Former Webster City Woman Was Daughter of Late Judge Kamrar.

BURIAL TO BE HERE

Mrs. Eva F. Beaumont, 68, a former Webster City resident and a daughter of the late Judge J.L. Kamrar, died Saturday at her home in Honolulu, according to word received by Webster City friends.

She made her home with her only daughter, Miss Frances Beaumont, who is a buyer for McInerney's store in Honolulu.

The body will be cremated and the ashes will be brought to Webster City for burial on the Kamrar family lot in Graceland cemetery in the near future.

Besides her daughter, Mrs. Beaumont leaves one brother, John R. Kamrar, of Hollywood, Cal. She was preceded in death by her husband, M.H. Beaumont, two daughters, Mary and Helen, a sister, Carrie A., and two brothers, Harris S. and Russell H. Kamrar.

Although Mrs. Beaumont had not lived in Webster City for many years she spent three months here last winter. She was born in Webster City Jan. 16, 1870, her parents being Judge J.L. Kamrar and Frances A. Sabin Kamrar, who came to Webster City in the spring of 1869 from Illinois. The family home was then a small brick house on south Superior street.

The Kamrar family later moved to a house which stood at 1010 Des Moines street where the Catholic parsonage is now located and where Miss Eva's girlhood was spent. She attended the Webster City schools and later took a special art course at Cornell college, Mount Vernon. She showed considerable talent along this line and she had many lovely pictures in her home which were her own handiwork. During her residence in Chicago sometime later she also took special art courses.

Judge and Mrs. Kamrar bought the large home at 1507 Willson avenue where Miss Eva was married in the fall of 1891 to Mr. Myron Holley Beaumont. Following a wedding trip to Washington, D.C., they located in Eagle Grove where Mr. Beaumont was employed in the offices of the Chicago & North Western Railroad company.

They later returned to Webster City and lived in the house which Judge Kamrar built for them just south of his own at 1525 Willson ave. Here their three daughters, Helen, Mary and Frances, were born. Mr. Beaumont owned and operated a laundry here.

Helen died in Webster City in 1904 at the age of 12 years. In 1907 the Beaumont family moved to Minnesota where they lived for a short time and later they went to Chicago where Mary died in 1909, at the age of 13.

From Chicago the family moved to New York City where Mr. Beaumont traveled. His wife accompanied him on many trips including two to South America. From the east Mr. and Mrs. Beaumont and daughter moved to Hollywood, Cal., where Mr. Beaumont died in 1925.

Mrs. Beaumont and her daughter continued their residence in Hollywood for several years, later moving to Honolulu where Miss Beaumont has a responsible and lucrative position with the widely known firm of McInerney's. She makes at least two trips each year to New York City where she buys for the store and, enroute, she often visited in Webster City.

Last December Mrs. Beaumont came to Webster City to spend the holiday with old friends. During that time she lived with her lifelong friend, Mrs. Emma Drake. She renewed many old acquaintances and friendships and spent a most enjoyable three months in her old home, but her health failed and she returned to California where she underwent a major operation.

She returned to Honolulu with her daughter in May, but grew steadily worse until her death Saturday night.
