Garnette Olmstead Loughry, 65, Webster City, died today, April 13, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Trinity Lutheran Church with Revs. Roy Miltner and John Grebner officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Foster Funeral Home until 9 a.m. Thursday when the casket will be taken to the church.

Garnette Pearl Wilson, daughter of Louis and Viola (Norton) Jetter, was born March 27, 1927 in Webster City. She received her education there.

On June 4, 1944 she married Raymond Olmstead in Webster City. The couple made their home in Webster City. She was employed at Woolworths and the Hamilton County Public Hospital. He died in June of 1971.

On Sept. 30, 1977 she married Scott Loughry at Webster City. The couple resided in Webster City. She was employed at Coulter's as a seamstress. She then retired due to failing health.

She is survived by her husband, Scott; son, Dan Olmstead, Webster City; daughters, Judy Hanson, Decatur, Ill., Cindy McCollough, Hanford, Calif; step-children, Terry Anderson, Alden, Suszanne Enzian, Stanhope, Laura Loughry, Kamrar; five grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; sisters, Phyllis C. Queeney, Tucson, Ariz., Beverly Sharp, San Bernadino, Calif., Sally Brown, Fort Dodge and Jerry Jetter, Webster City. Along with her first husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Roger Olmstead; and her parents.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a former member of the Church of Christ.
