March 5, 2020Lee Bahrenfuss, 87, of Webster City died Monday, March 2, 2020 at Unity Point Hospital – Storm Lake. Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Faith United Methodist Church. A private burial will be held at Graceland Cemetery. Foster Funeral & Cremation Center is entrusted with the services.
Lee Laverne Bahrenfuss, son of Benjamin and Elva (Doolittle) Bahrenfuss, was born June 30, 1932 in Webster City. He attended rural Blairsburg #4 school and graduated from Webster City. On December 9, 1952 he was united in marriage to Phyllis Ann Hoversten in Webster City. The couple farmed near Blairsburg. In addition to farming, Lee worked for Nissen’s and Webster City Custom Meats. The couple moved to Crestview Nursing and Rehabilitation in 2016.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Phyllis; son, Dale Bahrenfuss of Fort Dodge; daughter, Dee Lieberman of Grimes; grandchildren, Erik Hoffman, Sonya Hayes and Cody Lieberman; brother, Keith (Mary) Bahrenfuss of Webster City and many extended family.
Lee is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Robert Bahrenfuss, Shirley Mourlam, Leila Roe, Jean Roe, Eleanor Schroeder, and Mae Bruns.
Lee was a member of Faith United Methodist Church.
