December 12, 2019DUNCOMBE — Kenneth J. Hanson, 66, of Duncombe, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2019, at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 14th at 12:00 p.m. at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home. Burial will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Duncombe. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Laufersweiler Funeral Home.
Survivors include wife Janice of Duncombe, son Ryan Hanson of Duncombe, daughters Ashley (Logan) Kuchera of Sioux City and Melissa (Cameron) Nelson of Fort Dodge, 1 grandson on the way – brothers, Johnnie Jr. Hanson of Decatur, IL, Roger Hanson of Duncombe, sister Marlene Hanson of Duncombe and numerous brother and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents John K. and Mary Pauline (McGuire) Hanson.
Kenneth James Hanson was born on September 27, 1953, in Fort Dodge. He was raised in Duncombe where he attended grade school and later graduated from Webster City High School in 1972. Throughout his twenties, Kenny loved to travel around the country on his beloved Harley Davidson motorcycle. On July 30, 1983, he was united in marriage to Janice Bachman and the couple made their home in Duncombe. In 1984 he went to work at Frigidaire until he retired in 2007. Kenny could often be found spending time in his garage working on his pickup, motorcycles and enjoying good conversations with friends over a cold one. Kenny’s family was very important to him and valued their time spent together.
