Donald U. Knox, 71, of Webster City, died Sunday, October 15, 2006 at the Crestview Senior Living. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Faith United Methodist Church with Rev. Michael Willers officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Arrangements were made with the Foster Funeral & Cremation Center.
Donald Udell Knox, son of Charles and Hattie Hildal Knox was born May 16, 1935 in Williams, Iowa. He received his education and graduated from Stratford High School. He entered the National Guard from 1953 to 1959. On February 23, 1957 he married Martha Johnson in Dayton, Iowa. The couple made their home in Webster City. Don was employed by Naden Industries from 1956 to 1995. He had been residing at Crestview since February of 2002.
Don is survived by his wife, Martha Knox of Webster City; brother and sister-in-law, Harry and Ruth Knox of Webster City; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sarah Fleming of Iowa Falls, Lela Hagland of Webster City, Ruth Blair, Gladys and Mike Bell of Iowa Falls, Audrey and Elzy Johnson of Woolstock, June Nemechek of Dayton and Esther and Bill Murray of Lehigh.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sons Kevin and Karl Knox in infancy and brothers, Jack and Chuck Knox.
Don was a member Antique Motorcycle Club of America.
