Theodore "Ted" Dunn, 62, of Blairsburg, died Tuesday, August 29, 2006 at the Hamilton Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Foster Chapel, with Pastor Bill Keller officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and prior to the service on Friday. Graveside military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post # 191.

Theodore Leroy Dunn, son of Elmer and Florence Harris Dunn, was born March 22, 1944 at Webster City. He received his education in the Webster City schools. He served with the U.S. Army in a transportation company as a truck driver in Europe. On May 8, 1969 he married Janey Easter Staley at Fort Dodge. The couple resided at Webster City and Blairsburg. He had been employed as a truck driver for Hallett Construction of Woodward, Mannatt's Construction of Ames, Roger's Truck Line of Webster City, Seminole Trucking of Florida, Dunnigan Transportation of Stanhope and U.S. Mail Transportation of Des Moines. He retired in 2000 because of failing health.

Ted is survived by his wife Janey; daughters and son-in-law, Sherry Spicher of Blairsburg; Dawn Mathias; Barb and Robbie Hadaway, all of Webster City; sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Heather Ubben of Maxwell; James Dunn of Webster City; Kevin and Crystal Dunn of Cushing, OK; 16 grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Mary Potter of Council Bluffs; Ethel and Gary Baker of Webster City; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Delbert Potter.

He enjoyed camping, hunting and traveling the state of Iowa.
