Elzy E. Dally, 91, Stratford, died July 6, 2006 at Stratford Care Center. Funeral services will be Tuesday at the Gunderson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Richard Laird officiating. Burial will be in the North Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Gunderson Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Elzy Ellsworth Dally, son of Albert and Ida (Johnson) Dally, was born on April 10, 1915 in Webster County. His family moved and lived in Montana for 11 years. They moved back to Iowa when he was 14. On December 4, 1937 he was united in marriage to Constance Osborn in Webster City. Elzy farmed in Hamilton and Webster County for many years. He was employed as the maintenance building engineer for the Fort Dodge School system for over 18 years, retiring in 1976.

Elzy was a member of the New Testament Church of Christ, Webster City.

He is survived by his wife, Constance, his sons Ronald Dally, Robert (Fran) Dally, James (Nancy) Dally, Claude (Vicky) Dally, Charles (Mary) Dally; 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Dorothea Kelly and his brother, Irvin Dally.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
