Lila Mae Hill, 96, Webster City, died Saturday, Sept. 25, at Crestview Care Center in Webster City. Services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. today at Foster Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ward Malloy officiating and burial at Graceland Cemetery.

Lila Mae (Neel) Hill, the daughter of William and Frances (Wilbur) Neel, was born Sept. 10, 1897 at Kamrar. She attended school in Kamrar and graduated from high school at Webster City in 1916. She then attended the Iowa State Teachers' College at Cedar Falls, graduating in 1918. Following graduation, she taught home economics for one year at Williams.

On March 19, 1919, she married Kenneth Hill at Waterloo. Mrs. Hill was a homemaker and the couple farmed north of Stanhope for 66 years. She resided for five years at the Crestview Apartments, and for the past three months at the Crestview Care Center. Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her husband in 1985.

She is survived by: one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Frances and Marvin Davis, Boone; two sons and daughters-in-law, Neel and Selma Hill, Webster City and Wilbur Gene and Kathryn Hill, Ankeny; 11 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Gleason, Gilmore City and Geneva Nickerson, Zephyrhills, Fla.; and one brother, Wilmer Neel, Humboldt.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by: a son and daughter-in-law, James and Betty Hill; one grandson; her parents; one sister, Pearl Fellows; and two brothers, Glen and Kenneth Neel.

She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Webster City.
