Webster City Freeman, Webster City, Iowa, Wednesday, July 31, 1889

D.S. Smith died at his residence last Friday morning, the 26th inst., of typhoid pneumonia. Mr. Smith came here from Monticello, Jones county, about 11 years ago. Age about 35 years. He was a good citizen - honest and upright in his dealings, and an accommodating neighbor. He leaves a wife and four children to mourn their loss. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Beebe. His remains were taken to Monticello for burial.
