Marvin R. Heyer was born 12/21/1922 in Blairsburg, Iowa, to Fred and Sarah (Havinga) Heyer, passed away 8/30/2017 in Centennial, Colorado. Marvin had an interest in music at an early age and played in the band in school and the military. Marvin graduated from Webster City High School, served in WWII and it was while stationed in Iceland that he met Gudny Magnusdottir, who later became Gwen (Mrs. Marvin) Heyer for over 73 years. Marvin was a mail carrier for 33 years, retired in 1977 and delivered motor homes for several years. Marvin and Gwen moved to Colorado in 1996 and Marvin continued to play bass and trombone in many groups. Marvin was preceded in death by son, Kent, is survived by wife, Gwen, son Neal and his wife, Lana, step grandchildren and great grandchildren. Marvin professed faith in Christ and he and Gwen were members of Littleton Baptist Church.
