She came from her native land to Chicago in 1881 and married Edward Stromert. In 1888, they moved to Iowa and for many years lived on a farm southeast of Stratford moving to Boone a few years ago which place has since been their home.

Five children were born to the union of whom four are now living: Charles G. Stromert, of Boone; Henry G. Stromert, and Mrs. E.G. Nelson, of Stratford; Sigrid E. Hutson, of Des Moines. A son, Richard Leopold, has preceded the wife and mother in death.

The husband and father and four children are left to mourn the passing of a loving and faithful wife and mother. Eight grandchildren and one brother, John, of Seattle, Wash., also survive.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the South Marion M.E. church, conducted by Rev. K.A. Stromberg. Interment took place in the South Marion cemetery.
