DIED - On Monday, March 12, 1900, at the home of his son, Charles J. Ristrim, aged 80 years, ten months and two days. Deceased was born in Sweden, May10, 1819, and was married to Pehrnilla Holm on November 10, 1843. His wife died May 7th, 1887. There were born to them eleven children, and three sons and four daughters are left to mourn his loss. The funeral service, which was held at the residence, was well attended. The remains were laid to rest in the Olson cemetery.

March 15, 1900

Chas. Ristrim, Sr., passed away to the great beyond Monday morning at his late residence five and one half miles southeast of Stratford. Mr. Ristrim was one of the old settlers here and was respected by all who knew him. He was buried Wednesday afternoon. He was about 81 years old.
