Gail Wyllie

Gail I Wyllie, 59, of Webster City , died early Tuesday morning, Sept. 6 at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown. He had been in failing health for the past six years.

Funeral services will be Thursday, September 8 at 2 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home withthe Rev.LeRoy Miltner officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Friends may call at Foster Funeral Home after 3 p,m. today (Wednesday, Sept, 7 ) until the time of service. A graveside flag folding service will be conducted by American Legion Post 191.

Gail Ivan Wyllie, son of William and Corabelle Hosfelt Wyllie was born on October 15, 1928 at Bridgewater. He was educated at Bridgewater and Massena. He served in the U.S. Army from 1946-48 in the United States and Japan.

On July 31, 1949, he married Marilyn Welper at Hesper. The couple resided in Webster City where Mr. Wyllie was employed at Maudlin Construction and also at Iowa Central Community College. He was a dispatcher for the Webster City Police Department for 17 years. He retired in 1982 due to failing health and for the past two years had resided at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown.

Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Deborah Wyllie of Clear Lake and Nancy ( Mrs. Marlo ) White of Webster City, two sons, Thomas of Mesa, Ariz. and Terry of Blairsburg and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers.

Hw was a member of Amercian Legion Post 191.
